The role of the Development Office at EDS is to raise the necessary funds to achieve the financial goals the Board of Trustees sets forth. Like most independent schools, we rely on voluntary support to raise approximately 25% of our operating costs each year. This is a vital supplement to tuition income, which covers only 75% of annual expenses. Voluntary support, in the forms of annual giving and capital gifts, makes it possible to hold the line on tuition while still meeting our institutional objectives.
