Science Rocks! at EDS

Erie Day School is hosting Science Rocks! on Sunday, October 14th from noon to 3:00 p.m.  Budding scientists and curious minds of all ages will enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of exploration, experiments, and hands-on activities (see below for specifics).  The goal of ‘Science Rocks!’ is to engage young learners in all aspects of science—from biology and earth science to engineering and robotics! The event is free and open to the public.   

Science Stations: Bubbles ‘n (mem)'Branes  *  Code & Coding with Legos  *  Coloring with Chemistry Engineering Exploration  *  Equation Solver  *  Gears ‘n (Le)Go  *  Growing a Garden Ice Cream, You Scream in Spanish!  *  Investigating Fall Investigating Plant Life Cycles  * It’s the Vitals  *  Magnestism is Magic Micro Invertebrates with Microscopes  *  Mock Compounding, Medicine vs. Candy Money to Burn  *  Never Refuse to Reuse  *  Rig-a-Ma Jig  *  Sink & Float The Shape of Water  *  Thermoforming  *  Twists and Turns of Tornados.

The Extras! Cell-fie Station, Erie Day School Tours, Mural Creation Station, and a Science Scavenger Hunt. Participating organizations are:  Asbury Woods; Bricks 4 Kidz, Edinboro University of PA; Erie Day School; expERIEnce Children's Museum; GE Transportation; LECOM School of Pharmacy, Penn State Erie - The Behrend College; and UPMC Health Plan!
