Tailored Tuition

At Erie Day School, we believe that an exceptional education should be within reach for every family who values it. That’s why we offer Tailored Tuition — a customized approach designed to make an EDS education accessible to a wide range of learners and households.

Our tuition structure reflects each level of education — Early Childhood, Lower School, and Middle School — with flexible options that meet families where they are. Through Tailored Tuition, Erie Day School partners with families to determine a tuition level that fits their individual circumstances, supported by sibling discounts, merit scholarships, and financial assistance.

A non-refundable enrollment deposit of $1,000 is required at the time of enrollment. For families applying for financial assistance, this deposit is $300. Deposits are applied directly to the tuition balance.

We also offer convenient payment plans, including monthly installments through TADS, to help families manage tuition with ease.

Sibling Discounts

Erie Day School celebrates family. We offer sibling discounts for families whose students are not already receiving a merit scholarship or financial assistance:

  • Oldest student: Full tuition

  • Second oldest: 5% tuition reduction

  • Third oldest: 10% tuition reduction

Financial Assistance & Tailored Tuition Support

We understand that investing in your child’s education is one of the most important decisions a family can make. Our Tailored Tuition program is designed to ensure that cost is not a barrier to opportunity.

Financial assistance is available for students in Grades K–8 who demonstrate financial need. Erie Day School partners with School and Student Services (SSS), a division of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), to provide an objective and confidential assessment of each family’s financial profile.

To apply for Tailored Tuition support, complete the Parent’s Financial Statement (PFS) via:

Awards are based on a family’s complete financial picture — not just income — and all information is kept strictly confidential. Financial assistance notifications are typically shared in April for the following school year.

Our Commitment to Accessibility and Diversity

Erie Day School’s mission calls us to foster a diverse, inclusive community that reflects the world around us. A broad mix of socio-economic, cultural, and personal backgrounds enriches the classroom experience, preparing our students to lead with wisdom, kindness, and respect.

We view Tailored Tuition not as charity, but as a shared investment — a partnership between families and the school to make an EDS education possible and sustainable.

Funding Tailored Tuition

Financial assistance at Erie Day School is made possible through generous community support, including:

  • School fundraising initiatives

  • Gifts and endowed scholarships from alumni, families, and friends of the school
