Service Learning for Students
In Early Childhood, even our youngest students learn the joy of giving back. They create artwork for shelters and senior homes and bring cheer to nearby residents during the annual Halloween parade.
From Preschool through Grade 4, service learning is woven into the curriculum. Students support endangered species, collect school supplies for underserved children, perform anti-bullying skits, and connect with local organizations such as the Erie Zoo, Tom Ridge Environmental Center, and Asbury Woods.
In Middle School (Grades 5–8), service grows deeper through leadership roles and school organizations. Student Council leads school-wide service projects and raises funds for community needs. The National Junior Honor Society recognizes students for scholarship, leadership, character, and service, while the National Junior Art Honor Society showcases art as a force for community engagement through exhibitions, competitions, and service projects.
