Traditions

At Erie Day School, traditions are the heartbeat of our community, creating lasting bonds and cherished memories for students, families, and alumni alike. Throughout the school year, students come together for Friday Morning Meetings, an all-school assembly featuring class presentations and performances that showcase student creativity and achievement. They share meals during Family-Style Lunch, practicing etiquette while building connections with classmates and teachers. Seasonal celebrations like the Halloween Parade, Thanksgiving Feast, and Baskets of Gratitude bring joy and purpose to the year, while special events such as the Erie Day School Playhouse production, Grandparent & Special Friend Day, the Camp Fitch Overnight Experience, the Boston Cultural Excursion, and the annual Arts Walk provide unique opportunities for exploration, learning, and celebration. Our students also engage with the wider community through partnerships with local nonprofits, weaving service and social awareness into the fabric of their EDS experience. These traditions foster a sense of belonging, continuity, and school pride that lasts well beyond the classroom.
