About Ms. Melissa
Melissa Flowers teaches Kindergarten and Grades 1 - 4 science. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, she relocated to North Carolina where she was a Grade 5 teacher and honored as ‘Love Memorial Elementary School’s 2006 Teacher of The Year.’ Ms. Flowers returned to Erie and joined Erie Day School in 2007. She has received her certification in Special Education and Middle School Mathematics and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Special Education. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her four children. She also enjoys gardening, getting out in nature, and reading.
