Giving

At Erie Day School our parents, grandparents, Board of Trustees, staff & faculty, alumni, and other strong supporters prioritize annual donations to our school. These funds allow EDS to make necessary campus improvements, to offer to scholarships that create a diverse student body, to support technology needs, and to create a competitive workplace to attract the most talented staff & faculty.

Donations can be made through our Annual Fund, on community giving days such as Erie Gives & Giving Tuesday, through a family's annual giving strategy, or by Planned Estate Giving. Business owners and high-earners may donate through PA tax credit programs (EITC & OTC). Businesses, families and individuals participate in The Auction at Erie Day School by donating auctions items, through Sponsorships, and by participating at the event. Our mothers, grandmothers, and other empowered and engaged women take part in our Founding Mothers Gathering. Plus, other opportunities arise throughout the year to donate funds, items or time to help make special things happen for our students.

Give a Gift in Any Amount

Gifts in any amount are welcome at any time. Unrestricted gifts are especially helpful, enabling the Board of Trustees to use their discretion toward areas of greatest need.

Employer Matching Gifts

Make your donation go even further. Employee Matching Gifts are donations an employer makes to match its employees’ charitable contributions. Employee matching gifts often are dollar-for-dollar. Guidelines and amounts vary with each company. Typically, individuals must submit forms to their employer and can get more information about their matching gift benefits from their human resources department. Erie Insurance, Wabtec, Parker Lord, and PNC Bank are a few of the region's organizations that offer this benefit.

Give Stock

Erie Day School benefits by selling your gift of stock without paying taxes on the gain, and you benefit from making a contribution that would be larger than what you might have been able to donate in cash. Consult with your financial advisor for more information.

IRS Charitable Rollover

If you are 70 1/2 years or older, you can transfer up to $100,000 to Erie Day School without paying income tax on the money, and the gift can satisfy all or part of your required minimum distribution.

Arrange a Planned Gift

Plan a gift during your lifetime or as part of your estate to benefit Erie Day School.

Give to Our Endowment

Growth of Erie Day School's Endowment ensures the longevity of our school by generating perpetual income. Any one can donate to the Endowment at any time and in any amount.
