Erie Day School Welcomes Mr. Donald Fuller as its next Head of School.

Erie Day School is proud to announce the appointment of Donald Fuller as its next Head of School. Mr. Fuller has been working closely with current Head of School Dr. Karen Tyler during a thoughtful transition process. Dr. Tyler will conclude her distinguished tenure at the end of the 2024–25 academic year.

Selected through a national search led by the Board of Trustees and an inclusive search committee, Mr. Fuller brings extensive leadership experience and a strong commitment to student-centered education. His appointment marks an exciting new chapter in Erie Day School’s continued tradition of academic excellence and community impact.

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Karen Tyler has been selected as the 2025 recipient of the prestigious Spartan Award, an honor celebrating extraordinary service, leadership, and commitment to Erie Day School.

Dr. Tyler’s remarkable tenure as Head of School, spanning well over a decade, has left an indelible mark on our community. Under her guidance, Erie Day School has not only thrived but has also faced challenges with resilience, including navigating a global pandemic and addressing evolving community needs. Her dedication to fostering an environment where students are inspired to reach their fullest potential exemplifies the spirit of the Spartan Award.

The Spartan Award recognizes individuals with a longstanding relationship to Erie Day School who have made meaningful contributions as parents, alumni, trustees, volunteers, or supporters. Dr. Tyler embodies all these qualities and more.

This well-deserved recognition will be presented during The Auction at Erie Day School on Saturday, April 5, 2025. Please join us in celebrating Dr. Tyler’s incredible legacy and unwavering commitment to our school community.
